It’s Time to Visit a New Museum

It’s Time to Visit a New Museum

As much as I complain about Bank of America month after month, I still manage to give them my business. Why? Initially it was convenience as I used to be able to do my grocery shopping and my banking in the same trip, but that stopped years ago when Publix closed the B of A in my local store, but I’m still there.
I recently learned of a new perk that Bank of America added to their accounts (checking, debit or credit cards) called the Museums on Us program. This program allows card holders to receive free admission to nearly 70 museums nationwide …read more

What Day is Today?

What Day is Today?

Did you know that August 1st is National Girlfriend’s Day? Well, neither did I until Peter Shankman from HARO (Help A Reporter Out) filled me in. No, it’s not a day where all the guys in this world are expected to shower their girlfriends with gifts and never ending love, but it’s a day for girls worldwide to celebrate their “girl friendships” everywhere. While looking into what this holiday actually entailed, I came across a site that detailed more of the special days that occurred this month. If you don’t have a need to celebrate this next month, you do now …read more

Is the Price of Gas Finally Going Down?

Is the Price of Gas Finally Going Down?

Have you filled up on gas lately? It’s almost exciting. Well, not really, but still I was happy to see that prices have dipped below $4.00.  Does that mean that we can go back to driving normally? Does that mean SUV’s will have a  chance again to make it off the lot?  The AAA claims that gas might drop another 25 cents a gallon by the time Labor Day comes around. I’m not holding my breath yet, but I am going to be running to the gas station. Here are a few good deals around the area:

$3.94 at the Chevron located …read more

Poggenpohl Welcomes the New Porsche Kitchen to DCOTA

Tonight, I just got back from DCOTA.  They were introducing the Porsche kitchen. Quite fabulous I might add. If you are trying to describe luxury, this kitchen defines it, and it is targeted primarily towards men. The cabinets easily open, and may surprise you when you relax and lean up against it. They also feature a docking station for electronic devices, a built-in TV and electronic controls for cabinets, drawers and the drain stopper. To sneak a peak at this fabulous kitchen, visit the Poggenpohl showroom at DCOTA in Dania Beach.Photo courtesy of Poggenpohl.
