What Day is Today?
Did you know that August 1st is National Girlfriend’s Day? Well, neither did I until Peter Shankman from HARO (Help A Reporter Out) filled me in. No, it’s not a day where all the guys in this world are expected to shower their girlfriends with gifts and never ending love, but it’s a day for girls worldwide to celebrate their “girl friendships” everywhere. While looking into what this holiday actually entailed, I came across a site that detailed more of the special days that occurred this month. If you don’t have a need to celebrate this next month, you do now (and BTW, tomorrow is National Cheesecake Day ).
