Would You Like to Add Some More Fees to My Airline Ticket?

About 6 months ago, I went on a trip to Jamaica with Spirit Airlines. Not only is this airline less than ideal (my ticket was bought by someone else, as this was a business trip), I also had to pay for my luggage. So now, as some other airlines have made this a normal procedure in the last few weeks, I wasn’t the happiest person having to pay extra for this. So here I am on my way, and I also had to pay for food/drink that I wanted on the plane. They really get you here. OK – so if this wasn’t bad enough, they lost my luggage — no where to be found. I am stuck in Jamaica with a pair of Jeans and a t-shirt.  Hmm…OK, so the headaches at airports are increasing… increasing security, longer lines, terrible service, paying to check your luggage in — whatever happened to a free Coke?

Anyways, here’s good airport news. Hertz launched a self-service Express Kiosk in 50 of the top US airports. Renters can begin the process online and finish it up when they get to the airport. There’s better news yet — if you are waiting more than 10 minutes, you’ll get a $50 credit towards your rental. Woo hoo! Here’s to no (or short) lines at the airport!
