The B5Media network:

Starbucks Offers Free Coffee Today to Everyone

Starbucks has created quite the controversy. After their brilliant ad on Saturday Night Live (and I must say it fully caught my attention), Starbucks was faced with outrage by the public. How could they be bribing someone to vote? According to wsj.com, the good news is that Starbucks has pulled their initial offer, concerned that they would be violating election laws, and will now be offering free coffee to anyone that requests it. Even better.

What do you think? Would a free cup of coffee get you out to vote? Do you think Starbucks was violating the law or do you think that this was just a brilliant marketing plan? They’ve definitely made the news. Share your thoughts.

I am not sure that a free starbucks coffee would be able to bribe me for anything.

I’ll vote if you do NOT make me drink Starbucks coffee. Then again, one of those brownies might be more persuasive.

I also just heard that Chick-fil-A may be giving away some free items, but it will vary from store to store since promotions are run on the local level.

Hmm…I didn’t see the ad, but you know what they say about publicity. Even the bad stuff is good.

I love Starbucks coffee. Too expensive, though. Chick-fil-A’s coffee is pretty good, too. Though, I don’t need a bribe to get out to the polls, haha.
