Sushi & Sail on The Lady Atlantic

Sushi & Sail on The Lady Atlantic

Back in July, I blogged about the Morikami Museum in Delray Beach. This art and culture center is a great place to escape to the serene outdoors, to take part in the tea ceremonies and to enjoy the current exhibits. They also host some fabulous events including one that is taking place this weekend, called Sushi and Sail with Taishi.
Taishi is Morikami Museum’s Young Professionals Group. They plan events each year for professionals in their 20’s – 40’s with proceeds going to support the educational programs at The Morkiami. On Friday, they will be hosting Sushi & Sail that …read more

Baby Loves Disco and Other Fun Activities for the Young at Heart

Baby Loves Disco and Other Fun Activities for the Young at Heart

A few days ago I read a post by one of our b5media bloggers at The Hawaii Traveler. Jody was talking about a national movement call Baby Loves Disco. Have you heard of this latest craze? I hadn’t until I read Jody’s post, and I was even happier to find out that its taking place in my backyard, or nearly.
Baby Loves Disco is taking children out of the bar/club/high end restaurant scene (until this day I will never know why kids should be in the middle of the action where liquor is flowing, music is playing – you know the scene) and …read more

It’s Time to Visit a New Museum

It’s Time to Visit a New Museum

As much as I complain about Bank of America month after month, I still manage to give them my business. Why? Initially it was convenience as I used to be able to do my grocery shopping and my banking in the same trip, but that stopped years ago when Publix closed the B of A in my local store, but I’m still there.
I recently learned of a new perk that Bank of America added to their accounts (checking, debit or credit cards) called the Museums on Us program. This program allows card holders to receive free admission to nearly 70 museums nationwide …read more

Poggenpohl Welcomes the New Porsche Kitchen to DCOTA

Tonight, I just got back from DCOTA.  They were introducing the Porsche kitchen. Quite fabulous I might add. If you are trying to describe luxury, this kitchen defines it, and it is targeted primarily towards men. The cabinets easily open, and may surprise you when you relax and lean up against it. They also feature a docking station for electronic devices, a built-in TV and electronic controls for cabinets, drawers and the drain stopper. To sneak a peak at this fabulous kitchen, visit the Poggenpohl showroom at DCOTA in Dania Beach.Photo courtesy of Poggenpohl.
