Spaaaa…licious! A Look at Miami Spa Month

 July - as we are in the midst of summer, we are blessed with lots of humidity, rainy days and spending many hours in the AC - at least when you live in Southern Florida. For those of us who can go beyond those circumstances, there really is a lot to look forward to. The 4th of July, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and now, Miami’s very first Miami Spa Month. Now who can’t use a day at the spa? Organized by The Greater Miami Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Miami Spa Month will give you a chance to pamper yourself for pennies. (Well, $99 - that’s close enough, right?) Participating spas will be offering a special treatment to guests for the entire month. Here are some that I would recommend:

•  Jurlique Spa at Mayfair Hotel and Spa, 3000 Florida Avenue in Coconut Grove. They will be offering a journey to Havana which is a mojito inspired treatment. This will include a food bath, an aromatherapy massage and a Mojito sugar scrub followed by the Vichy shower water massage.
• Aquanox at Trump International Beach Resort offers a 2 in one deal. The first is a Global Aromatherapy Massage using essential oils from around the world. You will then be treated to an Aquanox International Express Facial leaving your skin clean, polished and refreshed.
• The Uhma Spa is offering a South Pacific Shell Massage with Aromatherapy.  This massage uses hot, polished Tiger Clam shells combined with nourishing massage oils to balance your body and senses. The Uhma Spa is known for bringing people and nature together and was built under eco-responsible guidelines.
